Craig Boddington’s Favorites

Craig Boddington loves rifles best of all. That’s one reason his 30th book covers rifles and not shotguns or handguns. But, don’t make the mistake of suggesting, as I did, that he is less appreciative, or proficient, with the other two classes of weapon. If you do, he’ll gently, but firmly, correct your inaccurate assumptions. “I helped put myself through college on my winnings from Trap competitions” Craig informed me during our telephone interview about his newest book offering, Favorite Rifles and Cartridges. I could hear the smile in his voice when he completed his rebuttal by quoting Tom Selleck’s character from the movie Quigley Down Under, right after Tom/Quigley gunned down three bad guys using a Colt revolver: “I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn’t know how to use it.”
